Anyone can promise to visit a property. Onlooker proves it. A one-time PIN, an on-site handshake, and escrow that only releases on verification — a new, trusted way to get things done without being there yourself.
How the handshake works
- Step_01
Post a verified bounty
Describe the property or site you need eyes on, add the on-site contact's name, phone, and/or email, and fund the bounty. Payment sits in escrow — nothing is released yet.
- Step_02
The contact is ready to approve
We text and/or email the agent, manager, or site contact a single-use 6-digit backup PIN, plus a link to cancel the bounty if this visit wasn't authorized. No account is needed on their side.
- Step_03
One tap approves the Hunter
Once the Hunter has claimed the bounty and arrives, they tap “I'm on site.” The contact instantly gets a link showing the Hunter's name and photo, and taps Approve — or “This isn't the right person,” which blocks that Hunter and sends the visit to review. The Hunter's screen updates live. Can't open the link? The contact can give the backup PIN in person or by phone instead. Only the Hunter who claimed the bounty can be approved.
- Step_04
Verification unlocks submission
A verified visit unlocks footage submission for Poster review. Once approved (or auto-approved after the review window), the escrowed payout releases. If the contact never shows or responds, the Hunter can report it and receive a partial trip fee — you never pay for a visit that didn't happen, and Hunters never lose out for a no-show contact.
Trust built into every step
Single-use and always expiring
Every PIN works exactly once and stops working when the request closes. A leaked or old PIN is worthless.
One-tap decline, no account needed
If the contact never authorized the visit, a secure link in their message cancels it instantly. You're refunded and the Onlooker still receives a trip fee for their time.
Unreachable? You're covered
If the Onlooker arrives and the contact never approves or shares the PIN, they can report the contact unreachable after a fair wait. You get the bounty back minus a small kill fee for the wasted trip.
Resend on your terms
PINs can be resent to the contact when plans change, with a full delivery history on every bounty so nothing happens in the dark.
